The Staff Pad is seeking a skilled Surgical Care Professional in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our client's Surgical Services team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition during surgery.
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment in compliance with infection control policies.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy, and anesthesia support as directed by the physician or anesthesiologist.
  • Serve as a patient advocate by providing education and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Maintain and operate surgical equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies, standards, and procedures.
Position Qualifications:Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience:
  • Previous experience in surgical nursing, perioperative care, or critical care preferred.
  • New graduates with strong clinical skills and a commitment to learning will also be considered.
Licenses/Certificates:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
