Job Summary

Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on swing routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, noting all issues on the DVIR form.
  • Immediately report any unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch.
  • Participate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by the Route Manager.
  • Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
  • Perform all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
  • Notify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Notify Dispatch or Route Manager of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol.
  • Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Route Manager.
  • Position containers on the customer's property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, containers are set in an upright position, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
  • Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation when checking-in at the end of the route.
Requirements
  • Commercial Drivers License B (CDL).
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Acceptable driving record required.

This job is typically performed outdoors and/or driving a vehicle.
