Metal Fabrication and Welding Technician

**Job Summary:**

ASGCO Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication and Welding Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components for various industrial applications.

**Responsibilities:**

- Fabricate and weld metal components using various processes, including manual arc, tungsten inert gas, and metallic inert gas.

- Repair metal surfaces to ensure safe and efficient use of equipment.

- Install various items to complete projects safely and within established time frames.

- Maintain shop, equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure availability and functionality.

- Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

- Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure availability of required items.

- Assist other trades personnel as needed to support completion of work activities.

- Transport various items, such as tools, equipment, and supplies, to ensure availability of materials at job sites.

- Work well with limited supervision.

- Respond to emergency situations as needed to resolve immediate safety concerns.

**Requirements:**

- 5 or more years of experience in welding and fabrication, including one year of journey-level experience.

- Knowledge and skills to perform the job using band saws, grinders, break, shear, drill press, chop saw, and part painting.

- Knowledge of basic math or geometry.

- Ability to read various manuals and follow prescribed formats.

- Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

- Ability to lift 50lbs to 100lbs, bend, kneel, reach, and stand for long periods of time.

**Working Conditions:**

- Frequently exposed to regulated noise and cold working conditions.

- May be required to work overtime as needed.
