Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist lead teachers during lessons and activities
  • Lead small breakout groups and provide individualized instruction
  • Communicate daily with lead teachers and support classroom management
  • Substitute teach when necessary and support specialists during absences
  • Support students in resolving conflicts using the "Talk it Out" method
  • Apply Responsive Classroom techniques in interactions with students and colleagues
Recess Duties:
  • Ensure student welfare and safety during recess
  • Engage students in various activities and sports
  • Support students on a one-on-one basis if needed
  • Enforce WCS rules and disciplinary action consistently
  • Support students using the "Talk it Out" method and Responsive Classroom techniques
General Expectations:
  • Be on time and present each day
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times
  • Understand appropriate interactions with students and staff
  • Limit cell phone use to break times or emergencies
  • Contact supervisor and lead teacher when unable to come to work
Compensation and Benefits:

This is a salaried, 10-month position with a salary of $32,000 and fully employer-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits for the employee and their dependents.
