Position Overview
QinetiQ US presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment that promotes intellectual development and rewards impact over tenure. This role allows you to collaborate with talented individuals and passionate teams, fostering growth and learning. You will leverage your analytical and financial modeling expertise to deliver insights to Project Management and enhance the company's financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver program control assistance for monthly closing activities, including variance analysis related to revenue, gross profit, and contribution margin, while reporting to leadership.
- Prepare Estimate-At-Completion (EAC) and conduct variance analysis comparing Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Forecast, and Actual results.
- Support project and contract initiation activities.
- Administer contracts and subcontracts, monitoring funding while adhering to the purchase requisition process.
- Lead analyses on cost, schedule, performance, variance, and risk reporting.
- Generate and present monthly financial reports to Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Division leaders.
- Collaborate with program managers and division leaders to proactively manage their programs through financial tracking and reporting oversight.
- Develop financial data and metrics to establish annual program budgets and forecasts.
- Coordinate with program leadership and stakeholders to ensure project execution aligns with budget plans and is synchronized with program sponsors as necessary.
- Assist accounting and program managers with client and subcontractor invoice reviews, as well as timesheet evaluations.
- Support Project Managers in overseeing performance management of employees, consultants, and subcontractors as needed.
- Monitor multiple programs/projects by tracking progress and quality, managing issue resolution, recommending corrective actions, and creating ad-hoc client deliverables.
- Work closely with project managers to identify and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including determining critical metrics and delivering actionable insights to decision-makers.
- Proactively analyze data to address key stakeholder inquiries, focusing on factors that drive business performance, and identifying areas for efficiency and productivity improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a degree in Management is advantageous.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in program activities on mid to large-sized federal contracts.
- Experience in managing, coordinating, and facilitating team efforts effectively across various contract environments (e.g., Time and Material, Firm Fixed Price).
- Familiarity with Costpoint and IBM Planning & Analytics (TM1).
- Experience in tracking, monitoring, reporting, standardizing, and overseeing project cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
- Proven ability in financial management and reviewing work products for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in person and through electronic means.
- Professional communication ability with clients, management, employees, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Capability to read and interpret policies, regulations, and directives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint.
