We are seeking a skilled Wound Tech ATRMC to join our team at the Advanced Wound Care Center at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. As a Wound Tech, you will work under the direction of the Provider, RN, or LPN to provide direct and indirect patient care, perform specific procedures, and maintain quality controls.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients in a friendly manner and provide narrative care, keeping them informed of waiting times as necessary.
- Answer patient calls and triage calls to an RN or provider as appropriate.
- Assist in opening and preparing the clinic each day to receive patients, keeping the flow of patients and staff smooth and efficient.
- Under provider and nursing oversight/direction, provide direct patient care for patients with wounds or burns and perform specific procedures as directed.
- Licensure/Certifications: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start. ONE of the following is required upon start: Certified Nursing Assistant by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN), Emergency Medical Technician certified by the Oregon Department of Human Services, or Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- 1 year of previous patient care experience in a wound clinic setting required in lieu of certification.
- Preferred Experience and Abilities: One or more years in an advanced wound center setting, experience transferring bariatric patients via a Hoyer lift, current knowledge and skills appropriate to advanced wound therapy, bilingual (English/Spanish), demonstrated proficiency in Medical Terminology, and demonstrated computer knowledge.
