Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Registered Dietitian to join our Bariatric and General Surgery team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nutrition care to our patients undergoing bariatric surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for bariatric surgery patients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Design and deliver nutrition education programs for patients and their families, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nutrition care, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and advance our team's expertise.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in the state of North Carolina.
  • Credentialed as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR) or equivalent experience.
  • One year of experience in a dietetics role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
