Charge Nurse

Job Summary:

Oak Brook Health Care Center is seeking a skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing unit, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management: Provide guidance and direction to the nursing staff, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality patient care.
• Patient Care: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
• Medication Management: Oversee the administration of medications, including PRN medications, G-tubes, and Coumadin.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care, including lab results, medication administration, and incident reports.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring that all parties are informed and involved in the patient's care.

Requirements:

• Education: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Charge Nurse or in a leadership role in a healthcare setting.
• Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
