Job Summary

Melaleuca is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Weekend Part-time Security Officer to ensure the security and safety of our facilities and associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular security inspections of all areas to ensure the building is secure at all times.
  • Oversee associate traffic in and out of the associate entrance(s) and maintain accurate records.
  • Review and remain familiar with active and terminated associate listings.
  • Represent Melaleuca in a professional and respectful manner to all vendors, associates, and management.
  • Ensure all personal property is handled appropriately and accounted for.
  • Ensure key distribution is done only with authorized personnel.
  • Report any hazardous situations to Maintenance personnel immediately.
  • Receive and deliver packages from carriers and ensure they are delivered to the correct associate.
  • Maintain accurate information related to Melaleuca policies and procedures.
  • Conduct consistent security inspections and report any questionable situations to the security coordinator.
  • Maintain a daily log of all activities during the shift.
  • Read and follow procedures outlined in the S.O.P. manual.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Standing, sitting, or walking for the duration of the shift.
  • Written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under stress.
  • Sit with intermittent walking.
  • Communicate with individuals in person and by phone.
  • Visually read reports, computer screens, etc.
  • Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ability to work extra hours as needed.
