As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and fixing intricate manufacturing machinery, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Installation Support: Collaborating with project teams to install new production equipment, which may involve travel for training purposes.
- Machine Assembly: Gaining expertise in assembling and testing specific machine designs, ensuring optimal setup of new equipment.
- Maintenance Activities: Engaging in preventive maintenance and inspections, alongside unplanned maintenance, while working within a cross-functional team to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing enhancements in machine component design, tooling, and fixtures to promote safety, reduce downtime, and lower costs.
- Training Development: Creating and delivering training for team members on the setup and operation of production equipment, including lasers, grinders, welders, and surface finishing tools.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree in Applied Science or Mechatronics Certificate from an accredited institution; required: High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer data sheets.
- Ability to fabricate machine components and fixtures from detailed designs, including final assembly (Senior Level).
- Skills in inspecting, troubleshooting, and replacing faulty mechanical components.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities for electrical machine controls.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a manufacturing context.
- Competence in using Windows-based laptops and applications.
