Agronomy Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Agronomy Director to join our team at AccorHotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and management of our golf course, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and excellence.

The Agronomy Director will oversee the scheduling and routing of staff and equipment to accomplish the work, ensuring the golf course is well-manicured and maintained. They will also be responsible for inventory control, overseeing the equipment programs, and acquiring equipment and supplies to maintain the golf course.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of agronomy and turfgrass management practices, a working knowledge of golf facility construction principles, practices, and methods, and a thorough understanding of the rules and strategies of the game of golf.

They will also require a high degree of administrative and executive ability, especially in terms of problem-solving and decision-making. The Agronomy Director will be responsible for communicating regularly with the Executive Committee to discuss activities, goals, plans, and progress.

• Develop and implement agronomic and turfgrass management plans to achieve the highest standards of quality and excellence.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of construction and maintenance equipment.
• Participate in all long-range planning meetings.
• Formulate the annual maintenance and capital budgets to implement board policies established in accordance with the long-range plan and defined maintenance standards.
• Interviews, hires, trains, directs, and supervises a staff of employees for the purpose of maintaining the golf course.
