About the Job

This role is responsible for leading the customer experience on weekends and closing shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience, and meeting sales goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues promptly and professionally
  • Assist customers with finding products, and offer suggestions for their creative projects
  • Lead by example, demonstrating Michaels' values and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Manage cash register operations, handling transactions and maintaining accurate records
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to safety and security protocols
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior retail experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move throughout the store
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Compensation and Benefits
