Key Responsibilities

The Mobile Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting maintenance and repairs on a variety of material handling equipment, including electric and propane forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
  • Performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, hydraulic system inspections, and component replacements.
  • Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as mechanical components of the equipment.
  • Utilizing diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues effectively.
  • Documenting all repairs and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Communicating effectively with management regarding equipment status and repair needs.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair, particularly with forklifts and related equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including off-shifts and weekends, based on seniority.
