Key Responsibilities- Patient Care and Hygiene
Conduct thorough dental hygiene procedures, including scaling and root planing, gingivitis scaling, and prophylaxis, to ensure patients receive the highest level of care.
Assessment and DiagnosisPerform comprehensive periodontal charts, medical history assessments, and caries risk assessments to identify potential oral health issues and develop personalized treatment plans.
Patient Education and SupportEducate patients on best oral hygiene practices and products, and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
Treatment Planning and CoordinationAssist in developing personalized treatment plans based on assessments and dentist recommendations, and work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Documentation and Record-KeepingMaintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment plans and completed procedures.
Infection Control and SafetyAdhere strictly to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment to ensure patient safety.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or certification in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
- A valid state dental hygiene license.
- CPR, Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide Sedation, and Laser Certification (where required).
