Navistar is seeking a Facilities Procurement Lead to enhance our team dynamics at our headquarters.
The Facilities Procurement Lead will spearhead the procurement of Industrial services in collaboration with the Facilities team, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations departments.
This role entails engaging with various stakeholders across North America to ensure precise scoping and requirement documentation, while also overseeing the formal RF(X) process.
The Facilities Procurement Lead will devise and implement sourcing strategies tailored for Facilities and Industrial Services. This position is pivotal in driving strategic sourcing initiatives and negotiating procurement agreements.The Facilities Procurement Lead serves as the liaison between vendors and facilities for ongoing requirements, ensuring optimal value, adherence to timelines, and enhancement of quality and service across plants and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Formulate and execute procurement strategies for the acquisition of Industrial Services.
2. Conduct sourcing activities aligned with Industrial Service requirements, utilizing the technical scope of work provided by internal stakeholders.
3. Lead negotiations and provide sourcing recommendations.
4. Perform market research to remain informed on trends and pricing.
5. Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain supplier and vendor relationships.
6. Conduct site assessments to monitor project status and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ascertain procurement needs and specifications.
8. Cultivate and manage relationships with cross-functional team members and management.
9. Review and analyze supplier performance, product quality, and pricing to enhance purchasing decisions.
10. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
11. Ensure adherence to Procurement policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing.
3. At least 1 year of leadership experience.
OR
1. Master's degree.
2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing.
3. At least 1 year of leadership experience.
OR
1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing.
2. At least 1 year of leadership experience.
Additional Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
Preferred Skills:
1. Proven experience in establishing procurement strategies and managing complex competitive bidding processes.
2. Familiarity with Industrial Services/Facilities commodities is advantageous but not mandatory.
3. Experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Experience overseeing engagements/projects with values exceeding $250K.
5. Strong understanding of Services contracting.
6. Proficient negotiation and persuasion skills.
