About the Role

In this role, you will advise a diverse range of clients within the social sector, including CSR teams, foundations, and other funding organizations. The role requires acumen to analyze complex problems, manage diverse stakeholders, and deliver solutions that drive meaningful change. You will get an opportunity to work on challenging projects and identify value-creation opportunities through social development initiatives, helping our clients translate strategic objectives into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Consulting Engagements
  • Own multiple consulting engagements and relationships end to end from presales to requirement gathering to solution design and implementation.
• Team Building
  • Contribute to building the consulting team through hiring, capability building, training, and relationships.
• Research and Analysis
  • Drive extensive research to help with solution design. Research could include landscaping studies, primary surveys, executive interviews, literature surveys, and more.
• Methodology and Frameworks
  • Recommend appropriate frameworks and methodologies to assess the problem statement and help the team improve their proficiency as consultants.
• Client Relationships
  • Lead client relationships and engagements, including project planning, people management, engagement with key stakeholders, and executive presentations.
• Thought Leadership
  • Lead ongoing development of thought leadership content through creation of reports, articles, podcasts, etc.
• Presales Efforts
  • Actively contribute to presales efforts by engaging with potential clients, developing high-quality collateral, and building proposals and pitches.

Requirements

• Experience
  • 15 years of overall experience with at least 10 years of consulting experience within well-recognized firms. Experience in strategy consulting, operations consulting, and program management is relevant. Experience in the social sector as well as in the larger business sector are both equally relevant.
• Leadership and Career Growth
  • Demonstrated history of career growth and leadership positions with past employers with exposure to multiple sectors within or outside the development space.
• Development Consulting
  • Prior experience in development consulting (health, education, livelihoods, climate action, government engagement, etc.) would be highly preferred.
• Communication and Data Analysis
  • Top-tier storytelling and presentation skills backed by strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including high proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, comfort with data visualization tools (PowerBI/Data Studio), and familiarity with simple statistical analysis.
• Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally.
• Independence and Collaboration
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment and deliver within tight timelines with a strong commitment to ethical practices, social justice, and advancing positive social outcomes.
