Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Snavely Forest Products Inc. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and yard facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle, move, and store various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within the warehouse and yard facility.
  • Pick and pack materials, load and unload transport items, and record inventory statuses.
  • Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Maintain a current forklift certification and follow all company safety guidelines.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
Requirements
  • Ability to properly use and maintain equipment.
  • Prior experience in inventory management and logistics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of operating other warehouse machinery.
  • Great organizational and time management skills.
  • Critical thinking skills to quickly solve issues and/or problems.
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds as needed throughout the day.
  • Ability to climb, kneel, reach, or bend throughout the day.
  • Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, while performing work.
  • Ability to operate all equipment on site as necessary.
  • Able to withstand environmental temperatures.

Work Environment

Our warehouse and yard facility operates from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
