Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our long-term care facilities. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and hygiene.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and address resident concerns, and provide emotional support and comfort as needed.
  • Assist with medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and other clinical tasks as assigned.
  • Document resident care and progress in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Maine State Board-approved CNA course.
  • Valid certification on the State of Maine CNA registry.
  • 1-3 years of previous CNA experience preferred, but new CNAs with relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team of other care providers.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, and to float to other units as needed.
