Job Summary

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished goods at the Norfolk Facility. This role requires a strong focus on safety and training, as well as the ability to lead and direct team members to achieve their assigned work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Operations: Ensure that trucks are loaded and unloaded in a timely and efficient manner using forklifts.
  • Dock Functions: Assist with dock operations, including placing airbags and void fillers for loaders, and coordinating with the shipping clerk to prioritize loads based on daily production needs.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the proper placement of raw materials and finished goods in the warehouse, and ensure that inventory is accurately counted and corrected when necessary.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Receive and bill shipments, run and read reports, and perform BOL corrections.
  • Safety and Compliance: Comply with all safety rules and regulations, and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Ability to read, write, and solve problems; good communication and team building skills; positive and encouraging attitude; and relating computer skills.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and direct team members to achieve their assigned work.
