Job Overview: Provider Healthcare is seeking a skilled Pyschiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This role will provide consultative mental health care for vulnerable and medically complex patients in our primary care setting.

About the Job: As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will assess, diagnose, prescribe, treat, and educate patients. You will work closely with primary care providers and behavioral health clinicians in a team approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts physical examinations and/or mental health assessments to address mental healthcare needs of patients.
  • Performs, orders, and interprets diagnostic procedures and lab tests as clinically indicated.
  • Develops and implements a patient treatment plan for mental healthcare in the primary care setting, including prescribing/dispensing medications and/or injections in compliance with guidelines and state laws.
  • Provides consultative mental health services to established primary care patients at NHC, before bridging them back to PCPs or to a higher level of mental healthcare.
  • Willing to travel to all clinic sites at NHC to provide mental health consultative services.

Requirements:

  • Master's of Science in Nursing from an accredited graduate-level nursing program.
  • Completion of a graduate level Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specialty track or program.
  • Minimum 3-5 years practice experience preferred.
  • Active, unrestricted Oregon license with prescriptive authority as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
