Job Description Summary

Centerstone is a leading nonprofit behavioral health system dedicated to delivering care that changes people's lives. As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing peer support services, information, education, and support to clients. Your primary goal will be to promote wellness, recovery, and skill building to sustain better health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prevention training for managing stress and problems, making healthy lifestyle choices, recognizing and responding to relapse, managing crisis, and achieving and sustaining recovery.
  • Assist clients with personal recovery goals, help them develop natural support systems, and coach them to advocate for themselves within their healthcare systems.
  • Implement evidence-informed wellness interventions and work autonomously or under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams and performance improvement initiatives to drive innovation and excellence in care delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree + 2 years of experience or 5 years of relevant experience with mentally ill-substance use population.
  • Experience participating in your own personal recovery process.
  • Ability to obtain credentialing if required within 24 months of hire.
  • Must obtain WRAP certification facilitator within 12 months of accepting the position.
