The successful candidate will exhibit the capability to execute technical tasks proficiently, particularly in copper installations, while also acquiring a foundational understanding of fiber installations. The Technician II will play a pivotal role within a technical team, assisting management in coordinating small groups of installers to ensure the efficient execution of daily tasks, while adhering to the company's safety and quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation of copper and fiber optic cabling, including overhead cable supports such as j-hooks, cable trays, and ladder racks. Ensure the installation of sleeves and firestop as necessary.
  2. Routing and organizing cables through modular furniture and cable management systems. Perform wall fishing with box eliminators and install surface mount raceways.
  3. Set up work area outlets, including wall plates and floor boxes, while organizing cables and implementing service loops and labeling.
  4. Construct IT closets by mounting backboards, ladder racks, and equipment cabinets, as well as installing patch panels and fiber optic enclosures. Ensure proper grounding for all equipment.
  5. Comprehend and comply with ESC and industry labeling standards.
  6. Utilize tools and processes for copper cable testing and troubleshoot cables as needed.
  7. Install low-voltage devices, including wireless access points, speakers, and display mounts.
  8. Identify active voice and data circuits.
  9. Possess a general understanding of fiber optic installation, termination, and testing.
  10. Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  11. Support the Project Manager or Lead Technician in effectively managing a small crew and provide necessary on-site training.
  12. Become familiar with End Solution Communications' job-related documentation processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of material transfers, work orders, and quality assurance documentation.
  13. Accurately complete all personal documentation, including digital processes such as payroll and expense reports.
  14. Participate in and adhere to all quality and safety standards set by ESC, customers, and the industry.
  15. Understand and communicate the significance of safety and professionalism to ESC and its clientele.
  16. Other duties as assigned.
  17. Willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications:
