Position Overview
This role is situated within the Environmental Management Services Division of a healthcare facility dedicated to serving veterans. Under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor or designated authority, the individual will engage in a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
The Environmental Services Specialist will:
1. Execute comprehensive cleaning duties in both patient and non-patient areas.
2. Be assigned to various shifts and may be required to work in different designated locations throughout the work period.
3. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
4. Utilize industrial cleaning equipment and perform minor maintenance on such tools to ensure optimal performance.
5. Manage waste disposal, including the transport of general refuse and regulated medical waste to designated collection points.
6. Ensure restrooms and bathing facilities are sanitized and stocked with necessary supplies.
