Position Overview:
The selected candidate for this Creative Arts Therapist role will implement therapeutic recreation programs for individuals in the Psychiatric Care Unit.
Collaborating with a diverse treatment team, key responsibilities include: developing structured daily activities and group sessions; tracking and documenting patient engagement and development; planning monthly recreational activities, and contributing to treatment strategy discussions.
Additionally, the role involves providing guidance and training to Mental Health Staff regarding activity programming and group therapy techniques. Strong communication abilities, analytical thinking, and crisis intervention skills are essential for success in this position.Essential Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or a related discipline is required, along with a minimum of one year of professional experience in a therapeutic, educational, or rehabilitative environment.
