The Role

Managers in our Commercial practice oversee multiple engagements for clients that range from multi-national corporations to early-stage startups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in business development activities, including preparing proposals, presenting in webinars, and collaborating with other service lines to present a comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients.
  • Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively.
  • Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
  • Provide ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate interns, associates, and senior associates.
  • Receive formal corporate tax training, on-the-job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 5 years of corporate tax experience.
  • Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service (required).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.
