Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Internal Tools engineering team. As a key member of this team, you'll play a critical role in building internal platforms that bring joy to Figma employees. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that drive business outcomes and enhance user experiences.

About the Role

  • Design Automation Specialist: You'll build and maintain tests, features, and infrastructure to support our design automation efforts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You'll regularly communicate and document architectural designs and requirements with product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Shared Ownership: You'll take shared ownership of the engineering process, from ideation to implementation, and contribute to the growth and development of your peers.
  • Problem-Solving: You'll break down high-level goals into actionable tasks and timelines, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Communication: You'll provide thoughtful feedback to colleagues and facilitate learning, belonging, and growth within the team.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 3+ years of professional experience shipping features and/or products as a full-stack developer.
  • Demonstrated coding fluency with one or more programming languages, including Typescript/Javascript, React, Ruby, Python, Go, or Rust.
  • Experience communicating and working effectively across functions to drive solutions.
  • Experience crafting delightful user experiences that enable internal teams.
  • Experience with Datadog or another observability system for debugging, monitoring, and alerting applications.
