Position Overview:
This opportunity is for a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in compressors and compression systems within a prominent energy and infrastructure engineering firm. The position offers a flexible 9/80 work schedule and the option for hybrid or remote work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with gas clients to ascertain project requirements, develop scoping documents, and facilitate project execution.
2. Spearhead the design and engineering of compression systems, ensuring adherence to performance standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Prepare and evaluate engineering deliverables, including Process Flow Diagrams, heat/material balances, P&I Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control and shutdown philosophies, HAZOP Studies, and Operation & Maintenance Manuals.
4. Develop and assess specifications and data sheets for compressors, control systems, and associated equipment.
5. Conduct feasibility studies and performance evaluations, providing technical support for both new and retrofit compression projects.
6. Oversee the startup, performance testing, and troubleshooting of compressors, engines, and gas turbines.
7. Address issues, implement corrective measures, and perform root cause analysis for equipment failures.
8. Review client documentation and specifications, verifying FEED design and calculations.
9. Prepare RFQs, assess vendor quotations, and analyze technical bids.
10. Coordinate with equipment vendors and analysis firms to ensure design integrity and appropriate component selection.
11. Manage project planning, cost control, scheduling, and develop TIC estimates and economic analyses.

Qualifications:
- A strong desire and capability to learn new skills and take on responsibilities.
- Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and NFPA.
- Knowledge of emissions control systems, engine and turbine auxiliary systems, compressor systems, control methods, and machinery monitoring.
- Willingness to travel for site inspections and data collection.

Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in compressor selection, design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with various compressors, drivers, and emissions control systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
- California Mechanical Professional Engineer license, experience in energy infrastructure, consulting or equipment packaging experience, and familiarity with Ariel, DR Size, Leroi, Coolware, and eRCM software.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
