Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Class A Driver to join our team at C&D Technologies. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting our world-class batteries from distribution centers to customer distribution locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Follow quality system procedures and maintain a safe work environment
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate and secure transportation of goods
  • Operate and utilize all company vehicles, including forklifts and electric pallet jacks
  • Verify loads and perform daily safety inspections on vehicles
  • Assist other departments with deliveries and fill in where needed within the department
  • Process warranty claims and return products to the warranty department
  • Organize used batteries for distribution to smelters and maintain accurate stock rotation
  • Read and interpret maps, and demonstrate attention to detail to complete orders accurately
Requirements
  • Read, write, and speak basic English
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience, preferably with city driving experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Class A license, Hazmat Endorsement, and clean driving record
  • Forklift certification (sit-down and stand-up)
  • Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
