Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN Resident Care Nurse to join our team at The AbbeWood. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities:- Oversee medication programs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in medication assistance records and medication passes.
- Perform treatments according to physician orders, taking blood pressure, pulse, blood sugar, and other vital signs as needed.
- Chart relevant information about residents, updating and informing physicians of any changes in their condition.
- Take physician orders, transcribe new orders to medication sheets, and chart accordingly.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Order and reorder medications for residents from assigned pharmacies as needed.
- Promptly respond to call lights and other requests from residents.
- Provide report to staff for the next shift, ensuring seamless communication and continuity of care.
- Assist the Resident Care Director with supervisory responsibilities, training, and counseling of the resident care team.
- Assist with scheduling department hours appropriately, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage.
- Must have a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from an accredited program.
- Must maintain an active LPN license in good standing throughout employment.
- One (1) year experience in senior services preferred.
- Must have CPR certification upon hire, or obtain during orientation, and maintain current certification during employment.
- Must have current First Aid certification (if required by State).
