Department: Imaging at SAT MRI
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MRI examinations as per departmental protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in MRI operations.
Role Expectations:
MRI Imaging Specialists are responsible for executing routine diagnostic imaging procedures in alignment with the operational goals of the Medical Imaging Department. This includes following hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and directives from the radiology medical staff and administrative team.
Safety and Compliance:
It is imperative that MRI Imaging Specialists perform their duties with the utmost attention to safety, employing all necessary precautions and protocols to prepare the patient, equipment, and environment for optimal diagnostic outcomes.
Reporting Structure:
Refer to the organizational chart for details.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiologic Technology Program accredited by The American College of Radiology.
- If not currently registered in MRI, candidates hired after January 1, 2017, must plan to take the MRI registry examination within one year of employment.
- Possession of a valid and active ARRT certification is required; advanced MRI certification is preferred.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
