Auto CAD Drafter Job Description

This is a full-time position offering an exceptional opportunity to apply your drafting expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed, accurate designs and plans for our construction projects using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

Responsibilities:
  • Generating comprehensive 2D and 3D CAD drawings for construction projects based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and transform them into detailed technical drawings.
  • Utilizing Revit MEP to create detailed models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Regularly reviewing and updating drawings and blueprints to reflect design modifications and changes.
  • Ensuring all drawings comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Maintaining an organized library of all project drawings and revisions for easy reference and retrieval.
  • Assisting in the resolution of any design-related issues that may arise during the construction process.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior team members and other stakeholders as required.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting, with a strong emphasis on the use of AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
  • A degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
  • Profound knowledge of architectural design, drafting techniques, and construction terminology.
  • Extensive experience in using Revit MEP for creating detailed models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management software.
  • A firm understanding of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
