Job Summary

Carle Health is seeking a highly skilled Addictions Counselor to join our team at the Carle Addiction Recovery Center. As an Addictions Counselor, you will provide outpatient mental health counseling and substance use treatment to patients under the direction of a clinical supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health counseling and substance use treatment to patients and their families through individual and/or group settings.
  • Perform mental health/substance use evaluations, including assessing need for ongoing counseling or other services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including specific goals and objectives to be addressed in sessions.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in medical records.
  • Identify concerns and make referrals to other treatments as needed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Illinois.
  • Combination of education and experience providing therapy and/or substance use treatment in a clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of current DSM diagnostic criteria and best practices for treatment.
