Machinist Trainee

Mate Precision Technologies is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Machinist Internship Program. As a Machinist Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and develop skills in CNC machining, machine maintenance, and quality control.

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision parts
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines and equipment
• Inspect products using various measuring devices to ensure conformance to specifications
• Collaborate with production team members to achieve productivity and quality goals
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes

• Current enrollment in a CNC Technology program at a post-secondary technical college
• Good mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
• Willingness to learn new machining skills and adapt to changing manufacturing processes

• Frequent walking and standing
• Occasional bending and stooping
• Use of hand to finger
• Lift, move, and pull up to 35 pounds
• Reach with hands and arms

• Starting pay: $23/hour, plus an additional $1/hour shift differential
• Scheduled work hours: 20-29 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to support school/class schedule
