Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Inpatient Weekend Staff Nurse who thrives in a dynamic environment. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating care tailored to various age groups, while adhering to family-centered and cost-effective care principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and evaluate data from medical records to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Engage in discussions regarding the patient's care plan with family members and document appropriately.
  • Identify applicable standards of care and communicate these to the healthcare team to meet patient needs.
  • Develop and customize care plans based on nursing assessments, considering the bio-physical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual, and environmental needs of patients and their families.
  • Assess and document patient responses to care, recognizing progress towards desired outcomes and discussing these with patients and families.
  • Exhibit effective interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, visitors, peers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrate appropriate delegation and prioritization skills in relation to patient interventions and therapies.
  • Serve as a resource for educating new staff and team members to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required, or an Associate's degree or technical diploma in nursing with current enrollment in a BSN program.
  • Active RN license from the Board of Nursing of the State of Texas is mandatory.
  • A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience is required.
