Job Summary:

The Personal Care Specialist will work under the direction of our Staffing Coordinator to provide assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment within client's residence, including light cleaning and straightening of the bathroom, sleeping areas, and living spaces.
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene, ambulation, exercise, eating, dressing, shaving, physical transfer, and other duties as assigned.
  • Provide nutritional support as needed, ensuring clients receive balanced and nutritious meals.
  • Report changes in client's condition to the Staffing Coordinator.
  • Perform other activities necessary for specific client needs, such as assisting with device use, range of motion exercises, household routines, and record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • One (1) year experience in home or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to caring for others.
