Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to support our expanding portfolio of Energy Transition projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States with a focus on Pennsylvania.
Job Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to lead our construction stormwater engineering team and provide technical expertise in regulatory agency coordination, client coordination, design/permit development, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development of engineering designs for permitting or construction purposes, including design drawings, technical specifications, presentations, cost estimates, proposals, land development planning, hydraulic modeling/calculations, erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout, and earthwork site design.
- Use your strong technical writing and communications skills to develop regulatory permit application packages, technical documents and reports, work plans, memoranda, and other environmental documents to support design/permitting activities.
- Be involved in supporting the growth of new and existing client relationships in conjunction with business development leaders and account leaders.
- This role will primarily be office based; however, as needed, you will need to conduct field assignments, including assisting in the field with construction, inspections, and participating in face-to-face client, technical, and other stakeholder meetings.
- Demonstrated experience with Pennsylvania Chapter technical requirements and permitting including Erosion and Sediment Control General Permit (ESCGP-3), Notice-of-Terminations (NOTs), Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) Analysis, Erosion and Sediment Control Best Management Practices (BMPs), and Stormwater Control BMPs.
- Licensed Professional Engineer, preferably in Pennsylvania or willingness to obtain via reciprocity, with a minimum of ten years of professional experience in the civil/environmental field.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field.
- Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training
- Experience with Highway Occupancy Permitting with local townships and county agencies.
