About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating patients with communication, speech, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will help patients improve their communication skills through vocal exercises and cognitive therapies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Speech Language Pathologist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating patients with communication, speech, and swallowing disorders to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implementing and updating treatment plans to ensure effective communication and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Documenting patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with hospital and departmental standards.
  • Participating in continuing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Current active Washington State Speech/Language Pathologist license or a Washington State Interim Permit.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
