Role Overview: The primary objective of this role is to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in children ranging from birth to 22 years old. This includes, but is not limited to, addressing issues related to language, voice, fluency, articulation, and pragmatic language skills.

Classification: Point Quest

Employment Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $52 - $70 per hour, based on experience:
  • 0-5 Years: $52 - $57
  • 6-10 Years: $57 - $63
  • 10+ Years: $63 - $70
Work Arrangement: Full-time preferred; part-time candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' communication abilities, including standardized assessments as part of a triennial review process.
  • Research and implement resources and methodologies to meet students' functional goals.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and interdisciplinary team members to develop effective treatment plans that ensure educational benefits.
  • Provide instruction and consultation to interdisciplinary team members and families to facilitate the generalization of skills learned in the educational setting.
  • Monitor student progress, document activities, and prepare reports using data management systems as required.

Qualifications:
  • Valid California Speech Pathologist license (SLP) or eligibility for a CA preliminary RPE license; or California Speech-Language Services Credential or eligibility for a CA preliminary credential.
  • Preferred experience in school-based settings; mentorship opportunities available.
  • Must pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance.
  • Proficient in computer use; familiarity with special education software is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with capacity to manage multiple tasks.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, including professional business writing.

Work Environment:
