Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and needs.
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including occupational therapy interventions, to help patients achieve their goals and improve their functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Document Patient Progress: Accurately and thoroughly document patient progress, including treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program and one year of experience in a post-acute care setting.
  • Licensure and Certification: Current licensure in the state of Indiana and certification in occupational therapy from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
