Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Prepare plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, participating in technical studies, design, preparation of specifications, and technical plans.
  • Permitting and Administration: Fill out and complete permit applications for processing, and provide construction administration support including field observation reports.
Requirements
  • Advanced Skills: Possess an advanced level of skills, striving to become proficient in aspects of the software, and seeking to advance knowledge of project design development.
  • Minimum Experience: 8+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Education: Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School or equivalent experience.
  • Certification/Licensure: Driver's License.
Technical Responsibilities
  • Deliverables: Perform and guide others on deliverables with focus on adherence to CAD standards, software utilization, and data management procedures.
  • CAD Standards: Maintain an overall 'Big Picture' approach to the ongoing development, maintenance, and adherence to CAD Standards and data management procedures, making recommendations to supervisors.
Project and Task Management
  • Task Management: Responsible for task management and adherence to deadlines and scope.
Management Responsibility
  • Mentoring: Focuses a significant effort to mentoring lower-level CAD Operators, providing solutions to unique problems, citing insufficiencies, and supplying recommendations.
  • Independence: Works independently with minimal supervision, receiving general review of project work.
Communication Skills
  • Oral and Written Communication: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, facilitating interaction among staff, effectively coaching and mentoring lower-level CAD Staff, and interacting closely and effectively with Project Team.
