Our client, a prominent leader in the realm of digital imaging solutions for both consumer and business sectors, is seeking a skilled consultant for the role of SAP BODS Developer. This opportunity is a remote contract position.

Job Title:
SAP BODS Developer

Location:

Contract Duration:
6 months plus

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement SAP BODS ETL processes, focusing on the extraction and provisioning of data from various legacy systems.
  • Engage in Data Conversion, Data Migration, and Data Warehousing projects, including the analysis and development of Dataflows and mappings with necessary transformations using BODS.
  • Create Jobs, Workflows, and Data flows according to specifications utilizing diverse stages in BODS.
  • Utilize BODS Designer Components such as Projects, Jobs, Workflows, Data Flows, Scripts, Data Stores, and Formats.
  • Validate ETL code and conduct Unit Testing by crafting SQL queries.
  • Apply BODS performance tuning techniques, including parallel processing, multithreading, partitioning, and optimizing database throughputs to enhance job performance.
  • Debug execution errors using Data Services logs (trace, statistics, and error).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various transformations, including Query transformation, Merge, Case, Validations, Map-operation, History Preserving, and Table Comparison transformations.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the Data Warehouse lifecycle and contribute to the preparation of technical design documents and test plans.
