Piedmont HealthCare is seeking a skilled Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health department, you will work closely with patients to provide high-quality mental health services.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working in a Behavioral Health setting and hold a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing or a Physician Assistant license. A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing behavioral health problems and prescribing necessary treatment and services.
  2. Provide psychiatric health services, education, counseling, and emotional support to patients.
  3. Issue medication prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines and order laboratory tests as needed.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  5. Monitor patient progress, report results to supervising physicians, and maintain accurate records of each patient's progress.
