About the Role:
The Hospital Security Officer is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our healthcare facilities. As a Security Professional in a hospital setting, you will act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions, detecting and reporting suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near your assigned posts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills to patients, visitors, and staff
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify and mitigate potential security risks
- Respond to emergency situations, such as medical emergencies or security breaches
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and visitors
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and security-related activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; 7 years of verifiable experience in security, customer service, or a related field preferred
- Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods
