  • Treatment Planning and Intervention:
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, student goals, and medical history
    • Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice production, and language comprehension and expression
    • Address swallowing disorders through therapeutic exercises and techniques
  • Therapy Sessions:
    • Conduct therapy sessions with students of all ages
    • Implement a variety of therapeutic approaches and modalities to meet the diverse needs of clients
    • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve therapeutic goals
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans
    • Prepare written reports and documentation for students, families, referring physicians, and other school professionals as needed
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, educators, occupational therapists, and other school professionals, to ensure coordinated care
    • Communicate effectively with students, families, and caregivers to educate them about communication disorders and involve them in the treatment process
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
  • Previous experience working as an SLP in clinical, educational, or healthcare settings
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment
