Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurately labeled and charged, packaged securely for safe delivery.
  • Keep management informed of product shortages to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Organize stock and merchandise within the warehouse by properly boxing and storing items in designated areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service during interactions with external companies and clients, ensuring positive experiences.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by cross-referencing invoices with orders and checking the condition of goods.
  • Accurately package, label, and weigh items for shipment, ensuring the correct shipping method and charges are applied.
  • Prepare detailed invoices to accompany shipments, ensuring compliance with company packaging and shipping standards.
  • Collaborate with fellow shipping clerks to ensure timely handling of invoices and proper shipping and storage of goods.
Qualifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many packages are substantial.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
  • Capacity to sustain a high level of physical activity for extended periods, primarily in a standing position.
  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as teamwork is crucial for maintaining an organized warehouse.
  • Experience operating a forklift and holding a professional forklift certification is highly preferred.
  • Ability to quickly solve problems and prioritize daily tasks based on their significance.
  • Personal accountability and integrity are vital, as a shipping coordinator is responsible for accurate inventory management.
  • Relevant customer service experience is advantageous, as shipping coordinators interact with customers to address lost or damaged goods.
