Job Title: Senior Substrate Packaging Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Substrate Packaging Engineer to join our fast-paced R&D team at FormFactor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving substrate technology development, roadmap, and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement substrate technology roadmaps to meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new assembly methodologies, process technologies, and engineering DOEs
  • Work closely with substrate packaging suppliers to develop new processes and meet stringent requirements and schedules
  • Design and develop new substrate technologies, including PCB, MLO, and MLC substrates
  • Perform design rule checks for design verification of next-generation multilayered packaging substrates
Requirements:
  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent required
  • Minimum 12 years of work experience in substrate packaging technology
  • Experience with advanced packaging technologies, such as CuP, WLCSP, SMT, Flip Chip, Wirebonding, BGA, and Component assembly
  • Strong background in failure analysis, root cause analysis, process engineering, and IPC/JEDEC design rules and standards
  • Travel required for supplier meetings and review sessions
