Key Responsibilities of a Plumbing & HVAC Sales Specialist:
- Act as the main point of contact for customer orders.
- Provide professional assistance to customers regarding product inquiries.
- Accurately process and fulfill orders in a timely manner.
- Create customer quotes and follow up as needed.
- Offer troubleshooting and technical assistance.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve customer service challenges.
- Restock the sales counter according to product organization.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage damaged products.
- Keep the sales counter area clean and visually appealing.
- Encourage the sale of additional products when appropriate.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications for a Successful Plumbing & HVAC Sales Specialist:
- Relevant product knowledge typically gained through two or more years of college or technical education, or 3-5 years of practical experience in plumbing and/or HVAC.
- Strong relationship-building abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills across various platforms.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Active listening skills to accurately assess customer needs.
- Proficient problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- High level of computer proficiency, with experience in ERP systems preferred.
- Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and organize work.
