About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Inpatient Care Assistant II to join our Mental Health Unit team. This is a dynamic and rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Summary

The Inpatient Care Assistant II will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to provide basic patient care, perform non-clinical tasks, and maintain a safe environment for patients. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, and a passion for delivering high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  • Perform basic patient care tasks, including vital sign measurements and documentation.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in infection control measures and report any safety hazards to management.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
