Job Title: Specialty Pharmacy Technician

Soleo Health Inc is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialty Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Job Summary:

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician will work under the supervision of a Pharmacist to oversee the logistics of patient medication dispense and prescription maintenance. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the single point of contact for specialty patients and coordinate timely medication dispense and delivery
  • Work under the supervision of a specialty pharmacist to capture assessment data, ascertain patient supply needs, and schedule new and refill medication deliveries
  • Run daily and weekly pharmacy reports as needed
  • Answer phones and warm transfer calls to the appropriate location, monitor incoming faxes, and monitor TCMC refill queues
  • Send orders to physicians for signature
  • Work with intake/reimbursement staff to maintain active patient insurance coverage and pursue authorizations and re-authorizations with the auth/billing staff at the branch level
  • Document all patient interactions and care coordination in the designated system of record for clear and consistent communication
  • Complete therapy-specific training as required
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required to perform pharmacy duties as required by the Board of Pharmacy
  • Prior customer service/patient services experience required
  • Prior experience in home infusion and/or specialty pharmacy preferred
  • Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Intermediate proficiency in typing preferred
