Job Description

At Current Lighting, we are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the software development and deployment processes to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software products.
  • Culture Development: Develop and maintain a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and agile development within the team.
  • Process Optimization: Work with developers to optimize the software development process, integrating automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment, and other DevOps best practices.
  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment and management of infrastructure and applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) using infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation).
  • Monitoring and Alerting: Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions for production systems, ensuring high availability and rapid response to incidents.
  • DevOps Tools and Processes: Manage and maintain DevOps tools and processes, including source control (e.g., Git), build and deployment automation (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI), configuration management (e.g., Chef, Puppet), and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Security: Work with security teams to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards, and implement security best practices in the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development, IT operations, or DevOps, including at least 2 years of experience managing a team.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of DevOps concepts and practices, such as continuous integration and deployment, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization. Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda). Proficiency with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby). Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, including source control (e.g., Git), build and deployment automation (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI), configuration management (e.g., Chef, Puppet), and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
